Dave Ryden and Doug Koopman have partnered before in addressing this theme - How do Christians faithfully engage the public world of politics?  Dave and Doug will specifically address public policy making and the role of churches in implementing faith-based initiatives.  In this election year, this will be a relevant topic.

 

PRESENTERS:

Dr. Dave Ryden is the department chair of the Political Science Department at Hope College.  Prior to coming to Hope in 1994, Dr. Ryden practiced law in Minnesota.

 

Dr. Douglas Koopman is also a professor in the Political Science Department.  He is employed at Calvin College.
